My iPod 4 screen backlight is dim

my ipod works in every sense of the word except for yesterday the backlight, completely died or something. cuz it wont brighten i have to shine a yellow bulb near the ipod to see anything. any idea how to fix this? got no more warranty, and don't want to pay to send out to repair since it will probably cost me more then what i paid for the ipod which was 20$

I have fully charged it and even reset it and also restored it and my backlight has still not come up. :( anything else I could try?

fully charge and that's a solid 7 hours then if it doesn't work hold down the on off button and at the same time hold the main button wait 8 second should do it

hey thx for the reply, but Ive tried both and its still a no go.
