I had replaced my hard drive, then too this error continues. I'm also not able to install Windows 8.1 pro on my PC. Installation stucks at 'Finishing Up' and after some time it shows something like this - 'Windows was unable to boot to next phase.'
Please help me on this.

Its very possible the Hard Drive is failing. Install a new HD and try the OS install again

Can you provide additional information: Computer model or Motherboard model, model of Hard Drive , is it the same model as the old one? is the hard drive new or used. Have you changed any BIOS settings? Is the Windows media a retail install copy, an OEM version or obtained from other means (I will not ask from where)? With this information I can get a better idea of what is happening and can suggest how to help.
