Why cant I use my tablet without a charger cord connected to my tablet?

candissmith937, sounds like a bad battery. I'd start with that and see if that resolves your issues. Use this guide to replace it.

What happens when you connect the charger to the tablet, can you switch the tablet on? What is the make and model number of your tablet?
