Hi,
Here is a link which shows how to replace the screen for your model tablet (I think it is the right one). At 8:34 minutes into the video it shows the video cable being removed. You might first wish to check that this is firmly connected as oldturkey03 suggested.

@ellajott post an image of what your display shows so we can see what you see. It is possible that this is caused by a bad/loose cable as well as a bad LCD.
