I dropped my phone in water

Believe it or not, recently I dropped my phone in my bathtub. I assume the water hadn't fully gone through the phone yet because I quickly dried it and it worked for another hour and a half after that.

Later, the phone glitched and shut down completely without warning. I thought it had died so I plugged it in the charger. It continued to not turn on. Now, being the next day, I looked up 'what to do if you drop your phone in water' but none of the answers were helpful because the water already dried inside of my phone, leaving me with a broken android phone. (Which actually turned on once but did not respond to touch)

Should I take in in the shop? Should I do the rice trick even though I dropped it in water yesterday? Please help me!
