Battery suddenly stopped working please help

Okay, so I bought a battery recently for 5 bucks off ebay. Wasnt even original look as the real deal. This just said iphone 4 battery. But anyways i connected it and turned it on and it worked. Thinking Id done a good job i closed the iphone up. I noticed that the phone would randomly turn off if too much pressure was applied to back glass of phone. (the back glass was also a replacement and did not even fit, it would not slide all the way down and just not fitting properly, was right model.) So I took it back apartand applied pressure and found the vulnerable spot, only now it would not turn on without that pressure. Tried to tape it down. Didnt work. Eventually it just stopped turning on. Ive disconnected and re connected it the battery so many times. When I plug into the computer the apple logo appears and then disappears. It soon reappears. Kind of like if you were to charge a phone with no battery. Almost like it isnt recognizing the battery. So I thought since i didnt charge if for a few hours that maybe the percentage it was displaying was not correct and all those times I was applying pressure and booting it made it drain the battery? Its like its not recognizing at all when it just was. Im impatient and waited for this for a week lol. HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED. My phone is Iphone 4g A1349 model white color

So, I've done a fair share of iPhone repairs over the years and I can tell you that when it comes to doing your own repairs, especially with Apple-brand products, you get what you pay for - case in point, a $5 replacement battery is absolute garbage, as you have seen.

Now the problem is not only a crap battery, but you may also have damaged the circuitry in the phone itself, as you need to know the exact ID numbers (model, etc) of the OEM part.

On top of that, with the way the screen is acting, it sounds like the battery may have become "bloated", which pushed on the screen itself, causing damage.

I hope your phone isn't damaged to where it can't be fixed, but fear it may be.

Your best bet, if you're still intent on fixing it yourself, make sure you understand the ins and outs of the device and that you have the correct parts and tools.
