Will not charge low battery

Hi

I had to change the screen on the iphone 5C (which i have done several times on these phones) as well as the charger port. All seemed quite easy but as i hadnt changed the charger port before all went well. Put phone back together but all i get now is when plugged in i can see the battery symbol showing a slight red at the end and thats it even after leaving for over an hour. Also when i pull the charging cable out i get the cable symbol appear so somethings happening but not sure if i have missed something

I did the exact same things, screen and charge port replacement. Im also having the same issues!

Hi Ian

The first thing you should do is get working battery and see if it is charging with it. If it is not charging with new known good battery this mean your logic board is damaged.

ok i will try that first. What part could be damaged on the board is it something that could be visible

Usually the U2 chip get damaged from using fake chargers. It is not visible damage.

Apple recommends that you use the USB power adapter and USB cable that come standard with your device. For a third-party accessory, check that it's Apple certified. Then use these steps:

Connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to its Lightning to USB cable or Apple 30-pin to USB cable.
