Xperia Z5 died and now not charging
Phone has been working fine then possibly ran out of battery and now it is not charging
any ideas
Ist dies eine gute Frage?

Try doing a full charge (approx. 5h) then do a full 2-min restart (see here)
''Open the SIM card slot cover.
Using the tip of a pen or similar object, press and hold down the OFF button for 120 seconds, ignoring any vibrations, and then release the OFF button.
Charge the device until a charging icon appears on the screen.
Turn on your Xperia™ device''

Nothing at all , tried several times
My phone was dead, no charge nothing and undoing the sim card tray slot and holding the power button for about a minute worked and it switched on charged 82%!! I thought it was drained, fortunatley I didn't order another battery!
My "Sony Xperia Z5 Compact" (E5823) wouldn't charge and couldn't turn it back on.
After checking the smartphone's USB connector (dust/dirt/contacts) and various tests with different chargers and cables, I followed the instructions here and my smartphone restarted !
You can find additional information in the phone's "User manual" under the heading: Restarting and resetting your device.
PS: My smartphone at the time of the problem was with the indication: "5% - Low battery level - Red LED".
So it looks like it got stuck in that state.
And even after hours of charging (without effects), it was therefore necessary to force the device to turn off !
(And therefore to restart).
Plug in the cable charger (turn off mode) then press the power button + vol-up …if the blue light on (black screen) it is mean the battery is charging, after 1 hour release the charger and turn it on… it work with mine…good luck

I was thinking to myself “fuckit!” And I pressed the charger into the usbslot with the power of god from the Old Testament…. and now it charges :)

No the fne has been faulty ring tone resets also i have 2 other z5 handsets this has never happened

I had this, tried multiple chargers, no joy, plugged it into a laptop with the Xperia Companion app and it's now taking a charge !
