Whenever I come out of sleep mode, my brightness and volume change

Whenever I turn off or put my tablet in sleep mode, it will reset the volume to all the way up, and my brightness to halfway. I would think that this is a bug not a feature but it becomes really annoying. If I try to listen to music through the tablet or even with headphones, it will blast my eardrums when going into or coming out off sleep mode. It would realy be awesome if someone could help me out with this. I only just got it so I think I'm still affected by the warranty, but I really don't want to go through that process.
