So my iphone se stopped charging by itself today morning so i had it open to check the plug but it seems to fine now i have my old iphone 5s so is it possible to use the 5s charger port and switch it to SE?
thanks any help will be appreciated.

bcux it looks the same to me online. i dont want to open up my 5s(which is never been opened).

No, it seems it doesnt! The connectors types are reversed comparing to 5s, and they are part from the cable band which I dont imagine how’d be “easily transfered”. I lost some hours and money because of that comment!

Yeah, your right I tried swapping the port from a broken 5s I had laying around trying to fix my little sisters SE and it was a waste of time because it's exactly what you described.

Actually, the charging ports are exactly the same apart from the socket where the home button connects to. The only difference is that it appears to have an extra bit of "housing" where the home button flex connection sits which can easily be transferred from the original cable anyway. I've just connected a 5S charging port to a SE and it charges perfectly!

This is not true, the connector that goes on the logic board is different.

Well it worked perfectly for me so you must be doing something wrong or used too much pressure connecting it to the board.

I’m gonna try out this project to see if I can get my Touch ID working on my old se using an iCloud locked 5s, I’ll let you know if it works or doesn’t work. And if it doesn’t then i guess I’ll have to resort to using the SE and a squared off iPod touch if I have to.
