iPad Mini Crazy Battery Drain after Water Damage.
iPad Mini got water damaged, no picture on screen.
Went in and cleaned the board, got picture to work but battery was draining crazy fast.
100 percent, to zero , in standby over a few hours.
Changed out battery for new one and exact same issues.
Modified all settings for better battery life and same issue.
Any ideas? Thank You in advance!!

Water damage to any electronic equipment is a serious problem that although an attempt to clean the item i s done it usually means their demise. Some factors are essential to have success if any?.. that being:...how quickly the battery was removed after water ingress.... what you used to clean it with...and absolutely dry before attempting to replace the battery .

Some components may be burnt or damaged from the liquid damage being shorted internally. Sounds like some components on the logic board need to be replaced to remove the short in some areas which would drain the battery even when not in use.

Edit , yes it gets warm while in standby
