How to change system config ?
for example cpu i3 to cpu i7
and Ram 4G to Ram 8G!!!
You know
Whats kind of cpu i7 compatibility with my device.
My system is VAIO VPCEB26FG.
Ist dies eine gute Frage?

@omidn73 as @lpfaff1 pointed out it is possible to upgrade the CPU .Things to keep in mind:Socket,TDP, BIOS and RAM Support, plus sometimes the Chipset. Also make a note of the heat given out and heat sink used.You dont want to melt that puppy , also remember that the power demands for a i3 are a lot less than the i7. So your power supply will need to be upgraded as well Your best bet for finding a compatable cpu will be from Sony support . Hope this helps

@lpfaff1 It can be done ....but really would you? the amount of things that would need to be addressed it would probably be easier to upgrade by buying a new laptop . But then again more power aruuhh
@jimfixer , Yes new is the easy way, depends on the availability of parts, like sourcing from a used, would be fun to try, for me it would come down to $$$, Heck I would be happy with an I3 !
@lpfaff1 My son works for a movie visual effects company in TO . Hes a system admim . They've been upgrading there render blades from second gen i7 to new xeon possessors so Ive been getting a boat load of these motherboards and upgrading desktops for family and friends most have like 24gb of memory . there old tek for that industry but man do they make for a powerful desktop. one of the older blades actually had 2 processors and 64 gb of memory . Amazing what some people will through out.
@jimfixer , what can I say but WOW! That sounds very impressive, not only the machines your building, your sons job to, the stuff/knowledge they must have for that field. i7/24gb ram :-0 Dream machine, I bet your family and friends appreciate you! Your right, it has become a throw away society and unbelievable what actually is disposed of. Have a good evening.
