Does my new monitor have back ight bleed or clouding/glow?

I only bought the monitor 2 days ago and noticed this straight way so I should have a 14 day return period and full manufacturers warranty. I'm guessing I should return it to the seller for a refund as it's definitely defective.

Is it possible for it to have taken some light damage to the screen during shipping and maybe that's why its happened? To be honest it was packaged very well.

Damage during shipping usually leaves pressure marks on the screen but not clouding. I'd replace it during the period where you still can. It is possible that it is normal for this model but it bothers you enough to question it. Return it so you know you did the right thing.

Okay thanks. I can actually see two slightly dark small pressure marks, like two fingers were pressed vaguely on the right. I just messed around with different brightness settings and it doesn't seem as bad or even noticeable now when I am looking right in front of it. It seems I can only see the blotches/diamond shape marks when I am looking right down at it from above. Only when I display a plain colour on the whole screen like a black or green.like this:

Is that still normal? When playing or watching TV its perfectly fine.

It is really not that bad, but it will depend on how much you were charged for it and how much this bothers you. If it does not interfere with you viewing it, then just keep it. It has to be right for you.

I have a 3 year warranty on it anyway so if it gets worse and becomes a problem I can always send it off. Thanks a lot for the help!
