What is the Wi-Fi extrernal device to upgrade 2008 Laptop

It has Wi-Fi Card : Mini -PCI EXPRESS WIRELESS CARD

Network , does not support WWAN , Wireless 802.11b/g

It is Whitelist , so I hope if any one know about external device to upgrade Wi-Fi
