How long to charge battery?
I got a new battery on ebay about 8 months ago. It has been sitting about 6 months. Now i can not get it to charge. Anyone know why?

@owr25 your battery has discharged below the charging threshold. Once the voltage falls below 2.9V-2.6V the battery does not accept a charge. There are a few ways of "waking up" the charging circuit. Connect a 9VPP3 battery positive contact to the positive of your battery, same with the negative. Keep it connected for ~10min. That should charge it enough to get the voltage past the threshold. Your battery should then be charged like normal. You do not want it connected for to long since it is an unprotected charging and could harm the battery. If you are unsure of this, go ahead and just replace the battery as already suggested above.

Battery gone dead. You can try charging it for 3 hours and if that doesn't work then you'll have to get another battery.

@owr25 , Oren, sounds like you may have gotten a inferior replacement battery which is faulty and needs replaced, try charging one more time for 12 hours and if no go replace. Good luck.
