AHT Test error 4SNS/1/1/40000000:VPOR-12.614
HI
My friend spilled some water on her laptop, not a lot was able to tilt it and shut it down, but it damaged the keyboard so many keys would not work along with the power button.
I replaced the keyboard, but the power button does not work, they only way to boot is remove battery power supply and plug it back in or just leave it running. Restart works fine, option R etc.
I ran AHT through bootable USB and received this error.
Sorry, I did have the wrong codes, I took a picture but wrote the wrong thing down.
the picture is listed below..

Any ideas what this could be?

Question.
If it is the logic board, will it cause any other issues other than not being able to use the power button? I mean will this problem cause other parts of the board or computer to fail?
Ist dies eine gute Frage?

First we really need the know which series this system is part of. Please plug in the systems serial number here: EveryMac- Lookup. Then paste the systems URL here for us to see.

@jwhittaker - Not good this error code is related to the power subsystem on the main logic board.

So when the water got in my friends computer it damaged the logic board?

Yes, it shorted out something with in the PBUS.
As Reece stated below you'll need to review the logic board connectors and make sure there is no corrosion causing a short.
Frankly, this is not a simple DIY project as you need the skills & tools to repair the logic board (and the needed parts as needed). Best to pass this onto someone with the deeper skills

I will take a photo of the top and post, what is the cost to repair a logic board, or is it better to get a used one?
