I have a 48" sanyo tv flat screen and the volume will not go up or donw i have to get really close to it for the volume to work like the remote is touching the bottom of the TV for the volume to go up and down and it should not be doing that.
Ist dies eine gute Frage?

Mrburgh , First thing to try is another set of good quality replacement batteries and wipe the remote and TV sensor with a soft cloth to clean of any dust. Also find links below that tell how to test and clean/repair remotes when buttons not functioning well. Good luck.

Mrburgh since this is only happening for the volume, I'd suggest you try a universal remote on your TV and see if that works better. If it shows the same results you may have issues with the IR receiver board on your TV. Let us know what you find out.

how to fix when Device Won't Respond to Remote Control Commands
Make sure your components are turned on and yourTV is set to display the appropriate video source.

What is the model number of the TV?
Try removing the batteries from the remote control unit and then using the TV controls (usually on the side or below the screen if it has them) to raise or lower the volume and see if this works.
If it does then check that the remote Vol. Down button is not stuck etc. Did the remote get wet at all?
