Backlight Flash is broken. How can I see me screen?

My backlight flash is broken. I can barely see my screen when I'm in the dark, but it's not enough to use the phone. I want to delete the phone and log out of iCloud in order to sell it to someone who can fix it. Is there a way I can see my screen of any kind so I can use the phone? Please help.
