iPhone always turns into Recovery Mode after Display replacement

I replaced the screen of a iPhone 6s. It was reseted before I started the replacement. First of all I checked if the new Display would work so I only connected it before I installed it. After the replacement all the cables were connect (Frontcamera Homebutton:by the way I did not change the home button only the display). I started the iPhone and it boots into recovery mode.

I tried multiple times to flash the system but it always fails. While flashing the phone reboots and then the "restore" screen comes again and the software ( I tried with 3u tools and iTunes) failed to flash the system. Then i decided to flash the software without the three cables from the display assembly. It works, but when I turn it off and reconnect the cables. When I restart the phone now it boots into recovery mode. I tried it multiple times with iTunes/3u tools.

What could i do ? What is the failure?

Thanks for your help!

I was having the same problem as you. My iPhone kept rebooting on `recovery mode`.

However, when I have the home button flex disconnected to the motherboard everything worked normally after that.

And I am also noticing that my Home button is always sending a `Hold/Pressed` signal to the iPhone.

Though all, I am happy I have my phone working

Use process of elimination. Does it boot without the front facing camera cable but without anything else? Do the same with everything else and you will get the fault. If it is the home button cable the display is faulty.

The iPhone was reseted, after i connect the speaker cable and restart it

Sounds like maybe a fault front camera ribbon flex assembly if the phone boots up after unplugging it?

von

When the plug was plugged in I'm able to restore it. If I unplugging the ribbon flex assembly it does not boot because the whole OS is missing.

von

What do you mean the OS is missing? Also make sure it is the correct cable, the front facing camera is the first thing you unplug.

May I have the screenshot of the error while you are flashing with 3uTools?

Then I can get to know the reason.

And did you select the option "Retain User's Data While flashing" ?

I will when I get the error again. I know that it always happens at 19% while restoring. The phone reboots and after a while the error comes. Maybe device (-2)?

von

Oh, I know many users met error -2 while flashing the disabled iPhones.

You can try these;

1. Change the usb cable or port.

2. Some users changed the battery and they succeeded in flashing.

3. Check if there is something abnormal in your drive of your PC.

I think that the extension flex cable of the home button is faulty, try to boot your iphone without the home button attached.
