Home button problems after reassembly

Hmm, I reassembled my iPhone 6 about 4 times now and the home button doesn't really click down. It works, but the whole bottom half of the screen acts as a home button now which is annoying af since it activates Siri endlessly in my pocket. Anyone know what I may have done wrong to exhibit such behavior? Thanks!

This usually happens when the backplate on the home button is putting too much pressure on the button. first make sure theres no built up dirt surrounding the button, if it still doesn't fix the issue it could be because of a thicker replacement screen. you can either get a different screen or simply leave some of the screws of the home button backplate a little loose. that should relieve some pressure.

I did try that for awhile but then I tried taking that super tiny silver disk between the home button bracket and the home button itself and it instantly fixed my issue. Now it seems that the button is a tad too far recessed into the exterior, but it clicks and is completely usable now.

Shouldn't of taken that silver button thing off, a better solution would be to bend the metal plate behind the home button outwards so that it is further away from the button and screw the plate back on.
