iPhone gives 1002 error syncing, possible cause the dock connector?
My sister-in-law handed me her iPhone stating that she spilt bottled water on the bottom, the phone charges fine, will only go into recovery mode.
iTunes updates the phone, but about 1px away from finalising the firmware update it times out after about 10 minutes giving a 1002 error.
Opening the phone just to reveal components does not show any evidence of water damage or corrosion, I don't know how much water she thinks actually got in there.
I'm suspecting (hoping) that replacing the dock connector might resolve the issue, could anyone suggest if this is a wise move or could the phone be completely lost?
At the end of the log file I see the following:
Sending EBL Loader... Sending EBL Loader Length...OK Sending EBL Loader Data...OK Sending EBL Loader Checksum...OK Sending EBL Loader -- All OK Sending EBL... Timed out Giving up !!! Exception at :0: - BBUReturnTimedOut(10)/2: Receiving EBL Loader ready indication failed
Ist dies eine gute Frage?
