Why does my camera turn off after 2-3 seconds from turning on.
I just charged the battery but when I turn it on, it turns off after 2-3 seconds.
Ist dies eine gute Frage?

mjragarcia most common issue for that is a stuck lens. Your camera will turn off if the lens does not fully extend etc. Check on here and let us know what you find. Use this guide Canon PowerShot SD 600 Lens and Motor Assmebly Replacement to start working on it.

Also maybe your camera's battery is not fully charged or dead. You can recharge the battery or consider replacing the battery.

Does it give a low battery indication before it shuts off?

yes it does but i put brand new batteries in
