My orginal battery for my Hero 3 Silver is nearly dead, so I am planning to buy a replacement ones from net. They do offer with higher amper and voltage, if I use those, would they damage my gopro? I guess same will occur for my Hero 5 soon too. I do really appreciate your answers, thank you very much in advance.

@serkanistan higher mAh will be ok, higher voltage will not be. Stick with the batteries that are meant for your device so as to not cause any damage or fall into a trap of better batteries. Most of those are no better than an original. If you purchase your battery from here you will at least know that it is the right one and that you are going to get a good quality battery.
