Sounds like LCD burn-in.
Try this guide of resolving the issue. Otherwise you may need to get a new Screen.

I finally got it to work. I will conclude that my home button connection wasn’t seated good, therefore causing it to reboot. Once I fitted it in better, it booted right up.
