Panasonic Over The Range Microwave Oven Model NN-P295 shuts down immediately no matter what program is selected. It started doing this after the exhaust door at the top was pushed closed while it was running. I will try to add pictures showing the door st the top of the microwave.

There is a switch located behind that vent. There is a possibility that by forcing it shut you threw the shaft that opens and closes the vent out of allignment with that switch. Or the motor to the vent has been damaged or the shaft it self broke. Can you here any kind of motor attempting to open the vent. Does the vent still open?

Also did it continue to run after the vent was forced close?
The vent still operates so it looks like all is OK there. The vent closes right away .
