2 Frozen on fire screen
My son's kindle fire HD 8 was working fine last night. He turned it on this morning and it is now stuck on the fire logo screen. I have tried holding down the power button multiple times for all the seconds recommend. I have tried the power and volume down button and restarting it from there. I have tried leaving it plugged in. I am now at a loss of what to do. Help please. We just got Wi-Fi yesterday and now he can't use it.

I'd suggest that yuo go ahead and ask your own question. https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/Ask That way it does not get lost like it does here. Give as much detail as possible. Which device, what happened to it and what have you tried to fix it?

I had to factory reset and than reboot. Not a huge deal, because only my 5 year old uses it. But it sure was a pain. Hope this helps.

My kindle fire will turn on and then say it's upgrading but the screen is blank I have lost all my apps It still shows the time and Nicola kindle and the icons at the top and bottom of the screen when I go into more the screen still stays blank and no apps at all does anyone now how I can fix this?

I went throught all these same steps with no success, It wasn't until I took out the SD card that the kindle started working again. The card was dead which was causing the screen freeze on bootup.
