Clean install of WS 7 OS (laptop came preinstalled with ws 10)

Hi and thank you for this damazing site!

in Nov 2016 I got this laptop, it came with WS 10 - I cannot stand WS 10 and want to

clean install / change the OS to WS7

I have the installation CD and oes # - but I am a newby at this

MY Q:.

Would you have a step by step how to do it information ? so that I don't mess it all up.

Or can you direct me to where I can find such instructions ?

Windows 7? do you have a windows 7 key? You will need that to activate windows 7.

TY Alden, Yes I do hve the key, it came with the CD

If you have the CD and the Key use this guide to help you, however, skip to step 6 since you have windows 10 installed on your system already. If you have questions comment.

Thank you Skiller - this sounds "manageable"...one question pls: do I have to format the HD before starting the clean install?

There is no data on the HD, just the OS WS 10.

Nope you don't have to format the HD. The part about partitioning the HD just use Disk 0.
