Randy Block did you get to the bottom of this? I am trying to figure out why it won’t take a charge… and why the blue light is flashing as well.

Having the same problem. Also after I replaced the batteries with the new ones.

Wait, you're saying you replaced the battery and the unit still wouldn't hold a charge?? I came here because I searched for "BDH2000PL replacement battery" with the intent of purchasing a replacement battery for this exact issue, and I am here because an iFixit page came up in the results and I love this site.
