Has anyone tried to upgrade the ram from 4gb to 8gb, is it doable?
Ist dies eine gute Frage?

Hi,
It may be possible.
Here’s a link to the service manual for your laptop, taken from this webpage
Scroll to p.49 to view the necessary pre-requisite steps and then the procedure to remove/replace the memory module.
Also on p.49 you’ll find a list of the compatible memory modules (dependent on the CPU) and the HP part numbers for the modules.
Hopefully this is of some help.

Hi @
Please follow the link below for information

I would suggest you to remove the back panel, take out the memory to check,
it would be good if the RAM can be tested on spot when you purchase to see if it boots and operate well :)

Hi @salmonjapan ,
Unfortunately, looking at the service manual, to access the memory module, you have to remove the systemboard (which means removing the keyboard/top cover) and turn it upside down and then remove the memory module shield to gain access to the module.
They didn't make this one easy ;-)
You are right, it is now a hassle to do those repairs, and it is a trend now..... apple... asus... hp.... lenovo....
maybe find some ways to milk the consumers.
Hi @salmonjapan ,
They don't want to repair. That costs money in service centres and parts etc.
They only want to sell product.
Cheers.
try taking a look at...
https://www.mrmemory.co.uk/memory-ram-up...
not sure if thats your exact model but the site can scan your system to determine exactly, its a great site iv ordered from them in the past
also tells you if it up-gradable or not...
P.S hope im not breaking any rules by posting direct links
