How far can I run the vent

The manual that came with the unit should indicate the maximum length. Generally speaking, the distance should be as short and with as few bends as possible. Also, use solid metal pipe and not the “flexible” pipe. The flexible pipe leaves many areas where lint can collect. It is lint that is a fire hazard. It can ignite if there is sufficient heat. Also, clean these pipes at least twice a year, more if the dryer is used more than once a week.
