820-3476 Water Damage Green to Orange Light | NO BOOT | NO FAN |

I have no boot, no fan, I do have lights but PP3V42_G3H all capacitors on that line ground on both sides. I’ve cleaned the whole board, and every capacitor I cleaned specifically on that line to no avail.

SMC works because I can reset it and the lights on the charger will change and all that, but it won’t boot.

There is no corrosion on anything related to the line, and the only thing that had to be removed was C5250 because it was the only Capacitor on the whole board which was corroded enough to cause concern.

I don't know where to look at all! I need someone who has handled this problem before, I’m always up for a challenge and don’t mind putting any amount of effort into this one since it’s a first for me. Good learning experience.

To get a spontaneous reboot: Disconnect the battery and the mag-safe. Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds. Reconnect the battery and mag-safe. If the logic board is good you should get a reboot spontaneously.

@mayer Tried that, it does not work. Will not boot. Won't even try, I get absolutely nothing. But my SMC still works which is SUPER surprising, and confusing.

I'm clueless, maybe @danj has an idea.

Time to pull out the schematics and board views, peering into a good microscope with your DVM in hand to do a deeper inspection ;-}

Debugging logic boards is an art onto its self! Liquid damaged or not. I would jump over to Louis Rossmann's YouTube channel and watch his process of isolating out the circuits and finding the failure.

Thanks guys!
