Maytag french door, ice maker will not fill with water or make ice.

Ice maker stopped working. Have had the icemaker, water inlet valve (inside) and the fill valve (on back) replaced. Still no ice. The water in the door comes out fine; when ice dispenser is pressed I can hear the ice auger working. There is no ice build up anywhere and put in a new water filter. Fridge is four years old and the seals are all like new. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I really tnk its pretty bad when icemaker on my Maytag fails after only 3 yrs, definitely will never buy a maytag again., parts all from China and only assembled in USA. Maytag touts made in the USA, really. We need to do more homework. 1 MONTH AFTER I PURCHASED NEEDED TO HAVE ALL THE DOOR PARTS AND LINERS REPLACED AS IT TOOK 2.5 MONTHS TO DELIVER AND HOME DEPOT WOULDN’T TAKE BACK. PIECE OF JUNK WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER MAYTAG.

I have the WRF954CIHZ02 french door refrigerator. All of the dispenser functionality randomly stopped working. The repair tech said switching the breaker on the unit at the breaker box should reset it and it does. They replaced the computer board but it still randomly stops working and the only way to get to start working again is the breaker reset method.

Cause Ice Maker Assembly

One component of the ice maker assembly might be defective. Since many of the ice maker components are not sold separately, you may need to purchase and replace the entire ice maker assembly. Before replacing the ice maker assembly, check the water inlet valve, water line, and fan. If none of these parts are at fault, and the freezer temperature is at least 15 degrees Fahrenheit, replace the ice maker assembly.

Mayer, I have already replaced the icemaker assembly. I have already replaced the water inlet valve and the fill valve on the back of the fridge. The fan works fine. Freezer temp is 5. Thx.

Have you checked the water pressure for the fridge?

jayeff, the pressure seems to be fine, there is a good steady stream coming from the dispenser. I get 16oz in 20 seconds. When we replaced the water valve on the back there was no clogs or kinks in the line. There is no saddle-valve there. We have replaced the water filter as well. Thanks.

Hi @cdh ,

As @mayer asked, is there any water in the ice maker?

If not perhaps the line to the ice maker is blocked or plugged up with ice.
