Unrecognized disc, even after replacing optical drive.

So my PS4 stopped reading discs. Games, DVDs, etc.

So I took to the internet and read that the optical drive is to blame. Well, I took it apart and cleaned the laser. Long story short.. that didn’t work. So I figured hey, the next thing would be actually replacing the laser. I got the part in the mail today and put it in. Put the console back together and booted it up. After about $20 and a while of troubleshooting and updating.. im back at square one. The console STILL won’t read discs. I’ve done everything from updating firmware to physically replacing the optical drive laser. I give up for the moment.
