Orange light wont turn off

Hi guys, I have got a new ags 101 gba sp and the battery seemed dead so I changed it, I have been charging it and the orange light hasnt gone off after 8 hours, when it normally does to indicate its fully charged, does anyone know what could be causing this? I have tried multiple batteries so I think its something on the motherboard. Thanks.
