Why wont my descaler run through my machine more than once?

My machine was working, so I thought I would do preventative descaling. It took 5 tries for it to go through and now it has stopped again. It makes noise but nothing comes out? When it stops the dealing light comes on.

There is troubleshooting info at the following but before you go ripping the unit apart one suggestion was that the unit may need to be reset. To try that, unplugged the machine and leave for several minutes. Then plug it back in and try your descaling procedure again to see if it resumes correct operation.
