I the Macbook Pro 13” retina Mid 2014 upgradeable to 16 GB Ram or is this soldered to the motherboard? I just one know before I buy a used Macbook Pro 13” retina Mid 2014.

The logic board has soldered RAM so you will need to swap out your logic board with another which has 16 GB of RAM if you need that much RAM:

  • MacBook Pro 13" Logic board, 2.8GHz i5 16GB - Apple P/N 661-00610
  • MacBook Pro 13" Logic board, 3.0GHz i7 16GB - Apple P/N 661-00612
