Screen not adhering back to frame after force touch sensor replacement

Hi all, I just recently replaced the screen on my original stainless steel Apple Watch. The repair went great, but when I went to adhere the screen back down, I noticed that it wasn’t adhering. I took the screen back off, ordered a new sensor, and made sure that I thoroughly cleaned the screen and frame before I tried again, and it’s still not adhering. I bought the fix kit through iFixit, and they sent me out another force touch sensor to try and get this to work. I’m asking now, before I try the repair again, if anyone has experience with this happening, and what I should do next. I’ve read that glue will interfere with the function of force touch, and that I may just have to buy other adhesive strips, and in that case, which you recommend. Thanks!

I have not used the iFixit kit for this repair before so excuse my question; the kit comes with adhesive for the screen right?

If that's the case, we have seen some watches where we tried one set of adhesive and it didn't stick. You could try Tesa Tape sometimes called Red Tape. This is widely used in the repair industry.

Another thing to try is heating the adhesive to get it soft then placing some weight on the back of the watch with the face down as it’s cooling down. This can sometimes help the adhesive set better.
