Colored line running down my left side Sony Bravia

Where do I find the location of the LCD malfunction or the LCD damage how do I find out and where is it located at and thank you so much for answering me

you may want to check the display logic connector which is the long yellow flex cable that connects to the lcd a lot of the times they go bad therefore you have to replace the entire lcd i recommend going along the very edge of the lcd where the flex cable runs along and gently add pressure while running your finger down the length of the cable and if you see any glitches more or if the red lines move at all well then the flex cable is the issue

but if that dosent do anything i recommend looking into a service manual for the television to see what the signal voltages are and then checking the connections between the motherboard and the lcd to see if they are getting their proper voltage and signals but then if that doesn't work i just recomend getting a new television set and my apologies if anything i said didn't help or made you upset in ay way and my apologies for sending you a reply 2 years late.
