I forgot my password and the hard reset option is not in the menu

So I forgot my password and tried reseting it to factory reset, the problem is that when i am on the boot menu it won’t give me the option to restore to factory settings/ wipe.

You need to open the device. There is a physical factory reset button which you hold down (10 seconds normaly).
