My car will not shift from park. It just started all of a sudden. The only way I can shift is to manually stick the key in the release by the shifter before cranking the car. Any idea what this issue may be?

Check that the shift interlock system is OK.
Here’s the 1998-2002 Honda Accord Service Manual + Electrical Troubleshooting Manual
Click on 1998 – 2002 Accord 2/4 Dr > Transaxle and when you have loaded the file go to p.14-96 to see the test procedure. On p.14-99 it mentions the park pin switch test procedure
Hopefully a start.
