Why does my Uniden landline phone not flash when I have a message?

Usually a beep, beep indicates call waiting not a message.

When you say “I have tried sending messages to my phone….” do you mean leaving a voice message on your phone service Voicemail mailbox? Not sure if you meant this or that you tried to send a message directly to the phone.

You need to have the Voicemail facility set up on your phone service to get a the message light to work on the phone.

Check your landline phone service provider’s website on how to set up the Voicemail facility.

When a caller doesn’t get answered by you after a set time period selected by you when setting up the facility, then the call is redirected to the Voicemail mailbox and if they leave a voice message, a signal is sent to the phone to switch on the message light and there should also be a message icon (envelope symbol) in the top left hand corner of the display window. See p.15 of the user manual

If you have the Voicemail facility enabled and the message light doesn’t light and the message icon is not there after a voice message has been left in the mailbox, contact your phone service provider about the problem. If they say that there is no problem at their end then it may be the phone.

Is the phone connected to a telephone cable or it is working over an internet connection and is connected to a modem/router?
