Subaru tire light stays on

Read this (the comments are pretty informative too). These devices are very pricey. I have seen articles posted from folks that tore into their own to replace these dinky little batteries. I feel that is not something I would advocate. I personally don’t care if a little red/yellow light is telling me that my tires are under inflated (they aren’t). Unlike many consumers I took responsibility for keeping my tires properly inflated years ago before the nanny state ordained this additional mess. Some folks I’ve discussed this with have advocated a piece of black tape over the offensive light. Maybe if I drove at night more I could go for that alternative “fix”. So if it is important to you, pony up the cash either at a subaru dealer (ouch) or at a competent independent tire shop (a bit less ouchy).
