The exponent button (Yx) on my calculator is acting as an enter button

Hi, when I try to insert something like 500/1.12^3 to have the present value number, the Yx button doesn’t allow me to put number “3” in the formula, rather, it shows the answer of 500/1.12 once I press the Yx button.

Any idea how can I fix this?
