My JBL FLIP 5 works fine when bluetooth connected to my cellphone. When connected to my laptop, it does emit sound. I followed all the instructions, the JBL FLIP5 shows it is connected to my laptop, I updated all the drivers, yet no sound comes from the JBL only from my laptop’s speakers.

Hi,
Do you get audio when you connect a set of wired headphones (not BT) to the audio socket in the laptop, you didn't say?
You have to determine whether the problem is with the speaker or the laptop by trying another device with the laptop or connecting the speaker to the earphone socket of a phone.
What is the make and model number of the laptop, if you determine that’s where the problem is?
