Why is half my screen dark?

The Kindle 3 was the 3rd generation of Kindle produced by Amazon. It was sold as a WI-FI or 3G model with 4 GB of internal storage.

Suddenly the bottom half of the page on my Kindle 3 is darkened. Can i fix that?

Einstellungen

If you dropped it/dropped something on it, it could have killed that section of the screen.
