new screen wont turn on

Hey,

i have a big problem with my pixel 4a. After it got water damaged i let it dry and tried to remove the display to dry the parts seperately. In that process i managed to crack the display and ordered a new one.

It was sitting around for 2 months now and after trying to install the new display, i realised that it wont turn on. Disassembled the motherboard and found a corroded transistor left to where the display cable connects. My question, can i clean it off and expect it to work or do i have to replace the whole transistor? New display lights green occasionally but thats it.
