Bose Soundlink III Speaker randomly turns off
Hi,
Does anyone else have a Bose Soundlink III speaker? I have one and it randomly turns off for no apparent reason. I’ve seen others state they have this problem too but there doesn’t seem to be a repair or viable fix.
Usually after one shutoff, it won’t shut itself off again for a while, but it’s so annoying. Any solutions?
Ist dies eine gute Frage?
I have the same issue. The unit will turn off while listening to music and even though it is permanently plugged into the power the charging indicator starts blinking like the battery is charging! Powering on the unit again usually allows it to work again for awhile. Most frustrating issue. I suspect somehow the charging/battery monitoring section is causing some issue. does anyone know if the unit will work with the battery removed? Maybe worth a try to see if that resolves the issue. I always use the unit plugged into the power so it wont be a big loss for me.

I had the same problem. I replaced the battery by one I found at Amazon. The speaker works very well now....Replacing the battery costed me 30$ plus taxes and took 5 minutes of my time.

Thanks for that suggestion. Definitely worth a try. I will do that

I ordered a new battery on Amazon and replaced it. The Speaker works perfectly now! No more random power offs! Thank you Roland Leguerrier for your post. Since i was always running the unit connected to power, I did not think that the battery could be a cause of the issue, but it was!

Same. Randomly the power would go off. Then I would reconnect to Bluetooth and it would go off even when cord was attached to wall. Didn’t think ever it would hace been battery since it was plugged in the entire time. But yes same as above. Replaced battery for like 35 bucks. Works like new. ( doesn’t look like new though ;) )
