My Fridge temp is flashing 3? what is the actual error?

Hi,

My Samsung SRF828CLS is sporadically flashing 3 (Celcius) however it is still cooling.

The French Door fridge has a plastic vertical bar that folds close when the doors are closed, however the top plastic guide that helps it close, has broken away.

It is about 6 years old, and a great unit, so im hoping this is an easy fix, with the help of this community, im happy to try the repair myself.
