My machine will not stop spraying even though the push button is released. It will also not spray when using the upholstery tool. I've looked through the wiring diagrams and can only quess that it maybe the rocker switch. Do you have any knowledge on this?

The wiring on the rocker switch has the long black and long white wire flip flopped. Pump stays on all the time in TOOL mode and you have the Carpet mode wired incorrectly.

The red button on Handle is faulty or stuck down.

Did someone just do some electrical work on the unit? I bought a rental at home depot and determined they had wired the floor/upholstery switch backwards. Problem solved but it took a couple hours to diagnose and correct. Dr J
