Washer motor hums. Out of ideas.

Drive shaft turns freely.

I have removed and checked the pump for obstructions: none.

Replace the motor capacitor. No change.

Replaced the motor switch. No Change.

Removed the transmission. Internal gears appear to be OK. Clutch is good.

Outside of the unit, I ran the transmission/motor assy. Motor runs but bearing making grinding noise)

Replaced motor.

Double checked all connections.

After all the above, the Motor still doesn't start, but hums.

Update (05/27/2022)

Additional troubleshooting. I removed the new motor from the pump and gearbox and set it on the floor. I reconnected the switch and capacitor. When I turn on the washer, the motor doesn't turn, only hums. It's a brand new motor, I don't get it. I also confirmed that the lid switch is working properly.

Update (06/06/2022)

Summary of what I've done, all to no avail. The motor hums but doesn't turn when I turn on the washer.

Transmission coupler is good.

Replaced capacitor

Replaced motor switch

Swapped motor

Swapped transmission

Replaced clutch

albertcatelani what is the exact model number for your washer? when you attach a multimeter toy uor washer motor and turn your washer on, what voltages do you get. The humming could be cause by an undervoltage.

It's a Kenmoore Series 80 (black top) 110.92282800. I haven't checked what you suggest, but are you thinking that my house power is low?

@albertcatelani not your house but just to your motor. Check and see what you get
